The resolution of the corresponding to topic 3, 4 and 5 has an outstanding weight in the final mark (20% of the final mark).
Final project
Consisting of a group work where the student must manage and plan the marketing mix of new product/service of a real or fictitious company (30 % of the final mark).
Promoting the continuous improvement of working and study conditions of the entire university community is one the basic principles and goals of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena. The UPCT Service of Occupational Hazards (Servicio de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales de la UPCT) has published a "Risk Prevention Manual for new students" (Manual de acogida al estudiante en materia de prevención de riesgos), which may be downloaded from the e-learning platform ("Aula Virtual"), with instructions and recommendations on how to act properly, from the point of view of prevention (safety, ergonomics, etc.), when developing any type of activity at the University. You will also find recommendations on how to proceed in an emergency or if an incident occurs. Particularly when carrying out training practices in laboratories, workshops or field work, you must follow all your teacher's instructions, because he/she is the person responsible for your safety and health during practice performance. Feel free to ask any questions you may have and do not put your safety or that of your classmates at risk.

Evaluation of assignments and reports on practical sessions (final product, follow-up and contribution in the case of group work)
Solution of three practical activities proposed by the teaching staff (Portfolio), with a determined delivery that will be published in Virtual Classroom (20% of the final grade). The portfolio will be evaluated by means of a rubric, which will be published in
Virtual Classroom. The student must obtain a minimum score of 3 points out of 10. The checking for authorship and checking for plagiarism will be done with the tool Turnitin.
The learning results evaluated are: R1, R3, R4, R5, R6 y R7.
Report of individual or group work, with a determined delivery that will be published in Virtual Classroom (25% of the final grade). The student will develop a practical activity related with a company composed by four parts, three exercises who correspond to Issues 1 (merchandising), 2 (Direct Marketing ) and 3 (Online Marketing), and the development of a new product (with the same features as Final Project). The company will be choosen by the teacher of the subject.

The learning track will be made through the following activities:
- Participation of the student in both theoretical and practical lessons.
- Resolution of the case studies proposed during the lessons and made in the classroom.
- Assignments proposed by the teacher.
All the assessed activities will be asked to be done in English.
All the evaluation activities are considered compulsory. Students in the special circumstances could do it alone and the 5% corresponding to "Presentation and defense of assignments" will be sume to "Evaluation of assignments and reports on practical sessions".
