Business Economy I aims to introduce students in the business world, addressing content that ranges from the most general to the most particular in the management of all types of organisations. To do this, the course begins with introductory topics about what the company is, its elements, its role in the economy, evolution and its classification. Similarly, the importance of entrepreneurs in the economy and the need to make business plans for their development is discussed. The importance of analysing the business environment and, particularly, the market in which the company operates is introduced. Finally, each of the functions of administration (planning, organising, leading and controlling) for the proper functioning of the company and its interrelation are analysed in detail.

Individual activities
At the end of each topic, a multiple choice questions activity related to the topic will be open in the Aula Virtual. The handing in of these activities is mandatory.
Group project
Group activity that consists of developing a business idea according to a script provided by the professors. It will be handing in writing and there will be an oral presentation of it at the end of the semester.

You will also find recommendations on how to proceed in an emergency or if an incident occurs. Particularly when carrying out training practices in laboratories, workshops or field work, you must follow all your teacher's instructions, because he/she is the person responsible for your safety and health during practice performance. Feel free to ask any questions you may have and do not put your safety or that of your classmates at risk.

Students who have not done the activities that represent 30% of the final mark (different from written evaluative activity), must do a complementary test that will evaluate the undeveloped competences. Its weight will be also 30% of the final mark.
To pass the course, it will be necessary to obtain a minimum score of 5 points among: the exam mark, which represents 70% of the final mark (7 points), and the complementary test score, which represents 30% of the final mark (3 points).
